Brett Culp

Brett Culp is a documentary filmmaker and keynote speaker whose work focuses on cinematic storytelling and community transformation. With "Legends of the Knight," Culp introduced a community-driven model for film distribution. He allowed anyone to screen the film in local theaters, with proceeds benefiting charities of their choice. This approach led to screenings in 110 cities and raised nearly $100,000 for charity, supporting organizations such as Ronald McDonald House, Make-A-Wish, St. Jude's, Boys & Girls Club, MDA, Special Olympics, and children's hospitals.

Culp founded The Rising Heroes Project, a nonprofit organization that supports charitable groups and empowers community leaders. The college textbook Documentary Storytelling includes a chapter on Culp's production style, reflecting his influence on documentary filmmaking.
