Bobby Hurley

Bobby Hurley has an extensive background in basketball, both as a player and a mentor. With a playing career that includes two NCAA championships with Duke University in 1991 and 1992, he was also recognized as the NCAA Final Four Most Outstanding Player in 1992. Hurley, who holds the prestigious title of the all-time leader in assists in NCAA basketball, transitioned into the NBA, playing for teams like the Sacramento Kings and Vancouver Grizzlies between 1993 to 1998. His playing career wasn't limited to the domestic audience, as he was also a part of the United States men's basketball team that clinched a silver medal at the 1990 Goodwill Games.

After retiring from active playing, Hurley continued to contribute to the sport, starting as a scout for the Philadelphia 76ers in 2003, moving on to assistant coaching for Wagner College's men's basketball team in 2010, and eventually taking up the mantle of head coach at the University at Buffalo in 2013. Notably, under his leadership, the team made their first NCAA tournament appearance in 2015. His successful run continued when he took up head coaching at Arizona State University, where he led the team to a significant victory against the #1 NCAA ranked Kansas Jayhawks in 2018.

Aside from basketball, Hurley has also dabbled in the world of entertainment and horse racing. He made an appearance in the 1994 feature film "Blue Chips" and owns Devil Eleven Stables, a thoroughbred horse racing operation that produced the winner of the 2001 Fountain of Youth Stakes, Songandaprayer. His diverse experiences and achievements in basketball and beyond give him a unique perspective on success, teamwork, and resilience.
