Bobby Clampett

Bobby Clampett is an esteemed member of five athletic Halls of Fame and is the only two-time recipient of the Fred Haskins Trophy, awarded annually to NCAA College Player of the Year. He is also the only PGA Tour winner to achieve the distinction of Master Professional of Teaching and Coaching with the PGA, a title earned through his development and dedication to his renowned “Impact-Based®” Golf Instruction Training and Coaching.

In addition to his playing career, Clampett was a distinguished golf commentator for CBS Sports for 29 years, covering over 300 PGA Tour events, 29 Masters Tournaments, 30 PGA Championships, and 5 British Opens. In 2009, he founded Impact Zone Golf, a groundbreaking teaching system emphasizing improving players' impact rather than over-focusing on their swing style. Drawing from his experience as a lifelong PGA Tour member, teacher, and analyst, Clampett studied what top players do to create dynamic impact and integrated this insight with his knowledge and learning.

Clampett’s extensive understanding of the game was captured in his book "The Impact Zone," published in April 2007, with assistance from golf writer and co-author Andy Brumer. In 2008, Golf Digest voted it the golf book of the year. Since then, Clampett has written eight additional books, produced three video systems, and developed the most comprehensive Golf Instructor Training curriculum, training golf instructors globally.

Impact Zone Golf, founded by Clampett, is headquartered in Naples, Florida, where Clampett has lived since 2011, and in his hometown of Carmel Valley, California. The organization offers various instructional services, products, and programs designed to enhance the enjoyment and learning of golf. Clampett also serves as a Foresight Sports and Swing Catalyst ambassador, incorporating these advanced technologies into his teaching programs and instructor training. Impact Zone Golf facilities are currently located at their Indoor Performance Center in Naples, at 1040 Collier Center Way, and also at the Clampett Ranch in Carmel Valley, California.

Clampett wants to expand his instructional model in Collier and Lee Counties. He is eager to partner with high-end golf clubs and developments to offer superior instruction to the local community. In 2021, Impact Zone Golf was recognized with “Hall of Fame” credentials for its exceptional contribution to golf instruction in Southwest Florida.
