Bob Sirott & Marianne Murciano

Bob Sirott and Marianne Murciano are a broadcast journalist duo based in Chicago, with combined careers spanning more than five decades in radio and television. Bob Sirott began his broadcasting career as an NBC page before becoming an afternoon drive disc jockey at WLS-AM, where he developed a following across the Midwest. He later transitioned to television, joining WBBM-TV and serving as a correspondent on the CBS network newsmagazine "West 57th."

Marianne Murciano, an Emmy Award-winning journalist, started her career in Miami radio and television, anchoring the morning show "Today in South Florida" for NBC's WTVJ-TV before moving to Chicago. She contributed to WTTW/PBS "Chicago Tonight" on the series "At Home With…," which featured in-depth interviews from the homes of well-known personalities. Murciano has also trained corporate executives as a senior consultant in media relations.

Sirott and Murciano became professional partners when they co-anchored the Emmy Award-winning "Fox Thing in the Morning" on WFLD-TV, a program that earned high Nielsen ratings. Sirott later served as anchor and managing editor of "Chicago Tonight" on WTTW/PBS and contributed to "CBS News Sunday Morning." He has anchored prime-time newscasts and election night panels for Fox Chicago News and NBC 5, and hosts "Legends" and "Icons of the Ivy," series featuring interviews with Chicago Cubs players. Sirott has received 14 local Emmy Awards, a national Emmy, a Silver Circle Award from the Chicago/Midwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, a Dante Award from the Joint Civic Committee of Italian Americans, and a Silver Dome Award from the Illinois Broadcasters Association.

Together, Sirott and Murciano have hosted the radio program "Sirott and Murciano" on WGN AM 720 and WLS AM 890. Murciano is a regular contributor to WGN Radio with her "Savvy Tips" segment, offering advice on health, food, and relationships. She founded the food and lifestyle website Savvy Planet, where she shares recipes and wellness content. Murciano is also an advocate on issues related to Cuba, bringing a unique cultural perspective to her journalism and public commentary. The duo has hosted group travel experiences, sharing their storytelling with audiences internationally.
