Big Daddy Weave is a Dove Award-winning contemporary Christian music band. The band's members are Mike Weaver (lead vocals, guitar), Jay Weaver (bass guitar, vocals), Joe Shirk (keyboards, saxophones, backing vocals), Jeremy Redmon (guitar, backing vocals), and Brian Beihl (drums).
The band's founding members met in college while they were all attending the University of Mobile in Alabama. Since the band's formation in 2002, Big Daddy Weave has amassed over one million units in album sales and have received numerous honors, including ASCAP and BMI Awards and the prestigious Rich Mullins Artist Impact Award.
Big Daddy Weave's frontman, Mike Weaver, released his autobiographical book, "I Am Redeemed," on September 3, 2019. Just ten days later, on September 13, 2019, Big Daddy Weave released their eighth studio album, When the Light Comes.
