Beena Ammanath

Beena Ammanath is a leader in artificial intelligence, AI ethics, and digital transformation. Her executive experience in AI and digital transformation includes work across e-commerce, finance, marketing, telecom, retail, software products, services, and industrial sectors, with organizations such as GE, HPE, Thomson Reuters, British Telecom, Bank of America, E*Trade, and several startups. Before her current role, Ammanath served as CTO-AI at Hewlett Packard Enterprise and as vice president of innovation and data science at General Electric. With a background in computer science, she has developed a career at the intersection of advanced technology and business strategy.

Ammanath leads the Global Deloitte AI Institute, Deloitte AI Academy, and Deloitte's AI Incubator, focusing on applied AI for enterprises. The Global Deloitte AI Institute provides business leaders with resources and analysis on the AI lifecycle, including technology, people, and business processes. Her work emphasizes responsible and ethical AI deployment at scale.

Ammanath is the author of "Trustworthy AI," which explores ethics and trust in AI and offers practical guidelines for organizations. Her book "Zero Latency Leadership" outlines skills and frameworks for leaders to make informed technology decisions, emphasizing trust, sustainability, and equity. She has also contributed to "HBR's Year in Tech 2023."

Ammanath founded Humans for AI, a nonprofit promoting diversity and inclusion in AI.
