Becky Halstead

Becky Halstead is a retired U.S. Army Brigadier General and founder of STEADFAST Leadership, LLC, a leadership consulting firm focused on executive coaching, training, advising, and inspirational speaking for corporate and academic audiences. After 27 years of military service and over 15 years in senior executive leadership roles, she now develops high-performing leaders and teams worldwide.

A graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, Halstead became the first female West Point graduate promoted to General Officer and the first woman in U.S. history to command at the strategic combat level. In Iraq, she led more than 25,000 military and civilian personnel across 55 bases, overseeing large-scale logistics operations supporting over 250,000 service members. She also held senior leadership roles in Europe and at U.S. Southern Command, advising top defense and government leaders across the Department of Defense, State Department, and Congress.

Halstead holds multiple advanced degrees in engineering, national resource strategy, and military studies, along with an honorary doctorate. She is a keynote speaker, faculty member at West Point’s Thayer Leader Development Group, and author of "24/7: The First Person You Must Lead Is YOU." Her leadership model has been featured in a Harvard Business School case study.

She has received numerous honors, including the National Women’s History Project award, and has served on the Presidential Commission on Military Leadership Diversity. She also advocates for veteran health initiatives, including whole-food nutrition programs for military personnel.
