Beau Breslin Biography
Beau Breslin is the Joseph C. Palamountain Jr. Chair in Government and former dean of the faculty and vice president for academic affairs at Skidmore College. Breslin holds a doctorate in constitutional thought from the University of Pennsylvania.
Breslin is the author of "The Communitarian Constitution," "From Words to Worlds: Exploring Constitutional Functionality," which is part of the Johns Hopkins Series in Constitutional Thought, and "A Constitution for the Living: Imagining How Five Generations of Americans Would Rewrite the Nation’s Fundamental Law."
In addition to writing about constitutional issues, Breslin has published works on capital punishment, restorative justice, and legal philosophy. Breslin is recognized for his expertise in constitutional theory and has delivered invited lectures and participated in academic panels addressing the role of constitutions in democratic societies. He remains active in public discourse, contributing to scholarly discussions and engaging audiences on topics related to constitutional change and legal philosophy.
