Beau Allen

Beau Allen is a former professional football player who spent seven seasons as a nose tackle and defensive tackle in the National Football League. Allen played at a listed weight of 327 pounds and stood 6 feet 3 inches tall, contributing to his presence along the defensive line. He played college football for the Wisconsin Badgers and was selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in the seventh round of the NFL Draft. Allen was recruited by several universities, including Notre Dame, Stanford, Michigan, and UCLA, but chose Wisconsin, following in the footsteps of his parents.

During his college career at Wisconsin, Allen recorded 94 total tackles, 45 solo tackles, 16 tackles for loss, eight sacks, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and one pass defended in 50 games. His performance secured him a position in the NFL despite being a late-round draft pick. With the Eagles, Allen played in 63 games with eight starts and participated in every game during the team's Super Bowl run. He began as a nose tackle under Chip Kelly and Billy Davis before transitioning to a 4-3 defensive tackle under Jim Schwartz.

Allen's contributions were significant during the playoffs, helping anchor the defensive line en route to a Super Bowl LII victory. In the 41-33 win over the New England Patriots at U.S. Bank Stadium, Allen recorded two tackles in a rotational role. The game held personal significance, as it was played near his hometown of Minnetonka, Minnesota. Allen spent four years with the Eagles, playing a key role in the franchise's first Super Bowl title.

Following his tenure in Philadelphia, Allen joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on a three-year, $15 million contract. He spent two years with the Buccaneers before signing a two-year, $8 million deal with the New England Patriots. Injuries prevented him from playing for the Patriots, concluding his NFL career with 117 total tackles, 72 solo tackles, 14 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, 15 quarterback hits, one fumble recovery, and two passes defended across 90 games.

After seven seasons, Allen retired from the NFL, having played 93 games and earned a Lombardi Trophy. He maintained a strong connection to the Eagles and the sport, including announcing a pick for the team during the NFL Draft. Allen is recognized for his contributions to football, his team-first approach, and his presence both on and off the field.
