Bear Grylls

Bear Grylls OBE is recognized internationally for his expertise in survival and outdoor adventure. Trained in martial arts from a young age, Grylls served as a soldier in the British Special Forces with the 21 SAS Regiment, where he developed many of the survival skills that have become central to his public persona. After recovering from a parachuting accident in Africa that resulted in a broken back, Grylls became one of the youngest climbers to reach the summit of Mount Everest.

Grylls starred in seven seasons of the Discovery Channel's Emmy Award-nominated "Man vs. Wild" series, which reached an estimated 1.2 billion viewers globally. He has hosted a range of adventure television shows across multiple networks, including six seasons of "Running Wild with Bear Grylls," where he guided public figures such as President Obama, Julia Roberts, Roger Federer, Will Ferrell, Channing Tatum, and Kate Winslet on challenging expeditions.

Grylls also hosts the Emmy Award-winning interactive Netflix show "You Vs Wild," which has been among Netflix's most-watched programs. He collaborated with Netflix to create interactive movie versions of "You Vs Wild," including "Animals On The Loose." Grylls has received two Emmy Awards for best show and best host, as well as two BAFTA Awards for the Channel 4 series "The Island with Bear Grylls."

Grylls filmed an adventure with Prime Minister Modi of India, which achieved record-breaking global engagement. He has also worked with Indian celebrities, including in the Netflix India movie "Ranveer Vs Wild," where he guided Ranveer Singh on a mountain expedition.

His autobiography, "Mud Sweat and Tears," spent 15 weeks at Number 1 on the Sunday Times bestseller list. Grylls has authored more than 90 books, with global sales exceeding 20 million copies. "Mud Sweat and Tears" was recognized by The Guardian as a top autobiography for children and teenagers and was voted the most influential book in China.

Grylls serves as Honorary Colonel to the Royal Marines Commandos, is the youngest UK Chief Scout, and acts as Chief Ambassador to the World Scout Organization, representing a worldwide community of approximately 57 million Scouts.
