Traveling with every U.S. president from Johnson to Clinton, Dunsmore followed the international story wherever it took him, reporting from more than 100 countries on virtually every major international event from wars to summits to diplomatic shuttles.

Award-Winning, Credentialed: Dunsmore, a fellow at the Shorenstein Center of the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, lectured on the the role of the news media in shaping public policy and conducted an extensive study of the potential consequences of live television coverage of war, entitled The Next War – Live. Dunsmore also won Georgetown University’s Edward Weintal Prize in recognition of distinguished reporting on foreign policy and diplomacy. Still active, Dunsmore provides television commentary on foreign affairs and pens a regular column for the Rutland Herald-Montpelier Times-Argus.
