Baron Davis

Baron Davis is a retired professional basketball player who became one of the most electrifying point guards in NBA history. He is best known for his fearless style of play and his role in leading the Golden State Warriors to a historic playoff upset over the top-seeded Dallas Mavericks in 2007.

Davis attended Crossroads Schoo in Santa Monica, California, where he became a standout basketball player and one of the top recruits in the nation. After high school, he attended UCLA, where he played for the Bruins and quickly established himself as one of the best college players in the country. During his sophomore season, Davis led the Bruins to the NCAA Sweet 16 and earned All-Pac-10 honors. Following his standout college career, Baron declared for the 1999 NBA Draft, where he was selected 3rd overall by the Charlotte Hornets.

During his early NBA career with the Hornets, Davis showcased his elite passing and scoring abilities, earning two All-Star selections in 2002 and 2004. In 2005, he was traded to the Golden State Warriors, where he became the leader of the team and orchestrated one of the most memorable playoff runs in NBA history. In 2007, Davis led the eighth-seeded Warriors to a first-round victory over the top-seeded Mavericks, a feat that cemented his legacy and became known as the "We Believe" era in Golden State history.

Davis continued his career with stints on the Los Angeles Clippers, Cleveland Cavaliers, and New York Knicks, bringing his veteran leadership and creative playmaking to every team. Over the course of his career, he amassed more than 13,000 points, 6,000 assists, and 1,500 steals, solidifying his reputation as one of the best point guards of his generation.

Outside of basketball, Davis has ventured into business, filmmaking, and entrepreneurship. He is the founder of The Black Santa Company, which promotes diversity and inclusion through storytelling, and he has been involved in various media projects as a producer and director. Davis is also an advocate for social change, using his platform to inspire and empower underserved communities.
