Barbara Tarbel is the Chief Financial Officer at Richard Bernstein Advisors LLC (RBA), a New York-based investment management firm known for its macroeconomic research and global asset allocation strategies. In her role, she oversees the firm’s finance, accounting, treasury, and human resources functions.
She joined RBA in 2009 as the firm’s third employee and played a vital role in building its operational infrastructure from the ground up. Prior to RBA, Barbara served as CFO at JDS Capital Management LLC, where she managed the firm’s finance and accounting operations. Her career in finance began on Wall Street as a trader in the asset management division of Cowen & Co.
Barbara earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Connecticut and an MBA in Finance from Pace University. In addition to her executive responsibilities, she is a strong advocate for women’s leadership in finance and frequently shares her experience with students and young professionals through mentorship and career development events.
