
Barbara L.S. Donahue is a television producer and director with a decades-long career in sports broadcasting. Donahue began her career at ABC Sports, where she built a résumé spanning major events in sports television. She is president of Grand Prix Productions, a production company specializing in videotape and film production of documentaries, industrials, internet programming, commercials, and feature film EPKs, supplying programming to international markets.
Donahue has received 14 Emmy Awards for her work in sports broadcasting. Her Sports Emmy wins include productions such as "ABC's Wide World of Sports," "ABC's NFL Monday Night Football," the Games of the XXV Olympiad, the Centennial Olympic Games, Wimbledon, and the Games of the XXVI Olympiad. She has won Emmys for eight Olympics, Wimbledon, "ABC Wide World of Sports," and a World Series, and has produced more than 3,000 shows. Donahue's coverage spans a wide range of sports, from frog jumping and dominoes to the World Series and Super Bowl.
Her producing credits include serving as coordinating producer on "The Contender," producer on "Sydney 2000: Games of the XXVII Olympiad," and field producer on "Ice Stories: Elvis on Ice" and "American Sportswomen." Donahue has also worked as associate director on Los Angeles Galaxy and Los Angeles Football Club broadcasts.
Beyond sports television, Donahue produced the short documentary film "F.L.A.G.," which is a permanent exhibit in the National September 11 Memorial & Museum in New York City. She was recognized with the national General George S. Patton Jr. Award for her efforts to create opportunities for military members and their families to participate in the sport of polo.
