Barbara Kingsolver

Barbara Kingsolver is a Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist, essayist, and poet known for her contributions to contemporary literature, environmental writing, and social justice advocacy. Kingsolver holds degrees in biology from DePauw University and the University of Arizona and has worked as a freelance writer and author. Her work frequently explores themes such as biodiversity, the relationship between humans and their environments, and the dynamics of social and economic justice.

Kingsolver is the author of ten bestselling works of fiction, including the novels "Unsheltered," "Flight Behavior," "The Lacuna," "The Poisonwood Bible," "Animal Dreams," and "The Bean Trees." Her narrative nonfiction book, "Animal, Vegetable, Miracle: A Year of Food Life," is recognized for its influence on food sustainability and local agriculture.
