Bad Bunny is a Puerto Rican rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer recognized for his impact on Latin music and global pop culture. Martínez Ocasio played a significant role in popularizing reggaeton and Latin trap, earning recognition for expanding the reach of these genres. While studying audiovisual communication at the University of Puerto Rico at Arecibo, he worked at a supermarket and recorded songs at home, sharing them online. He first gained attention with the release of the song "Diles," which led to a contract with Hear This Music. Martínez Ocasio's early SoundCloud tracks, including "Soy Peor," "I Like It" with Cardi B and J Balvin, and "Mía" featuring Drake, propelled him from underground artist to international prominence.

Martínez Ocasio has expanded into acting, appearing in Netflix series "Narcos: Mexico" as Arturo Kitty Páez, and in films such as "Bullet Train" with Brad Pitt and "Cassandro" alongside Gael García Bernal, where he portrayed Felipe. He appeared in "Happy Gilmore 2" and took on a role in Academy Award-nominated director Darren Aronofsky's film "Caught Stealing," playing Colorado alongside Austin Butler, Regina King, and Zoë Kravitz.
