Ayo Edebiri is an actress, comedian, writer, and director known for her work in television, film, and voice acting. Edebiri began her comedy career while attending New York University, where she switched her major to dramatic writing and interned with Upright Citizens Brigade. She started as a stand-up comedian and performed on Comedy Central's "Up Next." Edebiri co-wrote and co-starred in the digital series "Ayo and Rachel Are Single" on Comedy Central with Rachel Sennott.

Edebiri has contributed as a television writer in writers' rooms for FX's "What We Do in the Shadows," Netflix's animated series "Big Mouth," and the Apple TV+ series "Dickinson," where she also appeared in a featured role. She became the voice of Missy on "Big Mouth," succeeding Jenny Slate. Her dual experience as a writer and performer has informed her approach to storytelling in the entertainment industry.
