Austin Millz

Austin Millz is an American DJ, producer, and songwriter whose music blends electronic dance, soul, hip-hop, and R&B. Influenced by Harlem's hip-hop and soul scenes, Millz creates tracks that merge hip-hop, R&B, and dance music. Raised in New York, he developed his sound by collecting vinyl records and playing piano and saxophone, fusing jazz, hip-hop, and dance elements with soul samples, dynamic drums, and saxophone riffs.

Millz's career gained momentum when Loud Records/SRC A&R and producer Sean C. recognized his production skills and mentored him, helping refine his sound. Millz earned an undergraduate degree in journalism from Penn State University before returning to music full time. He has received nominations at the Global Spin Awards for Breakthrough DJ of the Year, Regional Club DJ of the Year (Northeast), and Regional Open Format Club DJ of the Year (Northeast).

Millz has performed at events such as Quincy Jones's AKG 70th anniversary and Beyoncé's Coachella Homecoming event, and made his debut for Boiler Room NYC. He is known for his remix "Feeling Good - Austin Millz Remix" and the single "Bad Behavior," featuring Remi Wolf. Millz is recognized for his fusion of hip-hop and dance music, establishing a distinct presence in the electronic music scene.

His EP "Breathwork" features tracks including "Inhale / Exhale," "Freeway," and "On and On," combining atmospheric house, pop vocals, and soulful rhythms. Collaborations on "Breathwork" include Estelle, Duckwrth, Alina Baraz, Destin Conrad, and Justine Skye. Millz's subsequent releases include "Church" featuring Tommy Genesis, "Turbina" with Farruko, "Hot & Mysterious" with Kah-Lo, and "Need I Say More" featuring Jozzy, highlighting his versatility in electronic and dance music collaborations.

As a Black, Puerto Rican artist in the dance music industry, Millz works to increase representation within the genre. Following a residency at Wynn Nightlife, he continues to perform at major venues, contributing to New York City's electronic music landscape.
