Austin Kleon is a writer and artist known for his work on creativity and innovation. He is the author of five New York Times bestselling books, including "Steal Like an Artist," "Show Your Work!," "Keep Going," "Steal Like an Artist Journal," and "Newspaper Blackout," a collection of poetry created by redacting newspaper articles with a permanent marker. His books have sold nearly 2 million copies and have been translated into more than 30 languages.
Kleon's work has been featured on NPR’s Morning Edition, PBS Newshour, and in The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal. He has been recognized by New York Magazine, The Atlantic, and The New Yorker for his contributions to discussions on creativity, digital culture, and the arts.
Kleon is a frequent speaker on creativity in the digital age, presenting for organizations such as Pixar, Google, Netflix, Dropbox, Adobe, SXSW, TEDx, and The Economist. He publishes a widely read weekly newsletter focused on creative process, digital publishing, and artistic inspiration.
