Aslı Filinta is a designer and sustainability strategist whose work bridges cultural heritage, intentional design and economic development. Trained in economics, Filinta began her career with a strong analytical foundation before transitioning to design, earning international recognition, industry awards and a U.S. extraordinary ability, or talent, visa. Her methodology focuses on using design as a tool for social impact, supporting women’s cooperatives, community-based production and disadvantaged regions, including post-earthquake zones in Turkey and crisis-affected areas in Syria.
Filinta’s work has been presented at United Nations side events, global sustainability summits, and through corporate collaborations with SkinCeuticals, Vestel and other international brands. She has received the Elle Magazine Sustainability Designer Award, Harper's Bazaar Women of the Year Designer Award and the Women Who Make a Difference Award by Mediacat and has been featured in Vogue U.S., BBC, Dazed and other international media. She combines storytelling, visual case studies and practical strategies to inspire innovation, collective production and sustainable development.
