Ashby Gentry is an actor known for his work in television, film, and independent productions. Gentry developed an interest in acting during high school and pursued formal training at Boston University College of Fine Arts, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in performance from the School of Theater. He began his professional career with a role in the short film "Speechless" and appeared in the music video for the song "Silk" by the alternative hip-hop group Belaganas.

Gentry's early television work includes portraying Porter in the reboot of the series "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" He gained broader recognition for his role as Alex Walter in the Netflix series "My Life with the Walter Boys." The series, adapted from the novel by Ali Novak, has maintained strong viewership on Netflix.
