Ari Beser Biography
Ari Beser is a Getty Images contributor and the founder and lead filmmaker of Goss Grove Films, a global first storytelling incubator focused on the next generation of filmmakers. He has spent the last 15 years working with atomic bomb survivors to inherit and convey their testimonies. His grandfather, Jacob Beser, was the only man on both planes that dropped the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
Beser became a Fulbright National Geographic Digital Storytelling Fellow, a member of The International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons, a 2017 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, and a Student Academy Award semi-finalist for his documentary work. He has given four TEDx talks and a Creative Mornings talk. His nuclear disarmament work has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, Der Spiegel Magazine, TIME magazine, National Geographic, and The Japan Times. His photography has been featured by National Geographic, The Guardian, Telegraph, CBS/Viacom, The Financial Times, French Vogue, The Nation Magazine, Oprah Magazine, PRI’s The World, EFE, Spain’s El Diario, Harvard Law School, Human Rights Watch, and Huffington Post.
