April Falcon Doss

April Falcon Doss is a national security expert and author with an extensive career at the National Security Agency, where she served in roles including associate general counsel for intelligence law, senior policy officer on post-9/11 information sharing, manager of operational programs and technology innovation, and overseas foreign liaison officer. Doss has expertise in cybersecurity and intelligence law and has appeared on CNN, MSNBC, NPR, and CBC. Her commentary and analysis have been featured in The Atlantic, Lawfare, Just Security, and The Washington Post, contributing to public understanding of complex threats in the digital age.

Doss is the author of the book "Cyber Privacy: Who Has Your Data and Why You Should Care," which addresses data vulnerabilities and digital risk management. She chaired the cybersecurity and privacy practice group at a major U.S. law firm, served as senior minority counsel for the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence's Russia investigation, and directed the Georgetown Institute for Technology Law and Policy. Doss has also taught as a senior lecturer at Georgetown Law and as adjunct faculty at other law schools, focusing on technology law and policy.

Doss was appointed general counsel of the NSA, bringing her experience back to the agency before her tenure ended amid political controversy.
