Anu Hariharan

Anu Hariharan is the founder of avra. Avra's mission is to equip growth-stage founders with the foundational skills and support needed to scale their companies beyond Series A. The organization is built on the belief that CEOs learn most effectively from peers and seasoned leaders who have navigated the complexities of rapid growth. Because company building is dynamic, avra emphasizes the importance of continuously adapting best practices.

Avra offers a seven-week program dedicated to the realities of scaling as a CEO. Each week focuses on a core aspect of company building—from executive hiring and management to scaling engineering teams and developing organizational capabilities. The program is offered at no cost to participating founders.

Hariharan was a partner at Y Combinator Continuity Fund, where she focused on growth-stage technology investments. Previously, Hariharan was a partner at Andreessen Horowitz, specializing in consumer internet growth investments and collaborating with management teams of portfolio companies such as Airbnb, Instacart, Medium, OfferUp, and Udacity.

Earlier in her career, she served as a principal at The Boston Consulting Group’s private equity practice in New York City, leading growth equity due diligence in the consumer and fintech sectors. Hariharan began her career as a senior software engineer at Qualcomm. She holds a Master of Science in electrical engineering from Virginia Tech and a Master of Business Administration from The Wharton School.
