Ann Louden

Ann Louden is a nationally recognized nonprofit consultant, author, strategic planning advisor, and speaker with a career focused on building meaningful connections. Louden is the founder and CEO of Ann Louden Strategy and Consulting. As a philanthropy and relationship expert, she has led fundraising efforts exceeding $150 million for nonprofit organizations.

Beginning her career in advancement immediately after her undergraduate graduation, Louden has spent more than 30 years leading programs in alumni administration, development, capital campaign planning, major and principal gifts, strategic planning, and community partnerships. She has dedicated three decades to higher education, raising funds for scholarships and research, engaging with faculty and students, and teaching a leadership course.

Louden provides counsel to chief executives, staff, and volunteer leadership on fundraising, special events, and campaign planning. As a nonprofit consultant, she advises clients on strategic planning, building effective volunteer boards, and developing donor relationships. She also guides organizations in creating workplace cultures where individuals feel seen, heard, and valued.

A frequent national speaker for the Council for Advancement and Support of Education, Louden is the recipient of the Steuben Excellence in Teaching Award and has been named a CASE Laureate. Her primary areas of interest include education, health care for women and children, the arts, and adoption. As a cancer survivor, she served as a spokesperson for a breast cancer advocacy initiative for 12 years, engaging survivors, volunteers, and medical providers. Louden has also managed an artist on "American Idol" and produced seven music videos featuring cancer survivors.

Louden is the author of the book "Mom, You Just Need to Get Laid: The Adventures of Dating After Divorce," a memoir about navigating midlife reinvention. She is a monthly columnist for TheThreeTomatoes.com. As an author and relationship expert, Louden speaks to groups and coaches individuals on topics such as dating in midlife, building a personal brand, and thriving through transitions and challenges.
