Anita Gupta

Anita Gupta is an entrepreneur and technology innovator with a career spanning more than three decades in building and scaling companies in the technology sector. Gupta, recognized by Forbes 50 Over 50 (Entrepreneurs) and among the Power Women of DC Tech, has developed technology-driven businesses at the intersection of product development, venture capital, and business growth. She holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from Marietta College and a master's degree in public policy from Harvard University Kennedy School of Government, where she was a Sloan Fellowship recipient.

Gupta is part of a sibling entrepreneurial team that co-founded Aptara, which became a leading publishing services company with more than 5,000 employees and was later acquired. She led the professional publishing services division and directed sales and marketing for the company. Under Gupta's leadership, Aptara appeared on the Inc. 500 list for three consecutive years as one of the nation's fastest-growing companies. Aptara was acquired by a strategic investor for $144 million.

Gupta later co-founded KiwiTech, which began as a technology services company and evolved into a startup accelerator and innovation platform. As chief revenue officer and co-founder, she oversees revenue, partnerships, and market expansion within a global innovation ecosystem supporting more than 3,000 startups. Gupta is committed to providing training and strategic support to female and minority entrepreneurs. KiwiTech operates as a tech-for-equity platform, with more than 700 startups participating and a focus on emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and blockchain.

Gupta has participated as a speaker and judge at conferences and events including Consumer Electronics Show, Cannes NEXT at the Marche du Film, Society of Physician Entrepreneurs, FICCI Big Data and Analytics Conclave, and KiwiTech Female Founder Demo Day. She has also served as a keynote speaker at a U.S. State Department event at the Mauritanian Embassy, addressing women's economic empowerment. Gupta has received national recognition, including the Harrington Prize and the Stevenson Prize. Through the Anita Gupta Foundation, she supports philanthropic initiatives aimed at improving communities through grantmaking. Gupta is among the women leaders shaping the innovation economy through her work in technology entrepreneurship, startup acceleration, and support for underrepresented founders.
