Ania Bukstein

Ania Bukstein is an Israeli actress, singer, songwriter, pianist, and voice actress whose career spans more than three decades, with work in both Israeli and international entertainment industries. Fluent in Hebrew, Russian, French, and English, Bukstein immigrated to Israel as a child and attended Telma Yalin Arts High School in Givatayim, where she developed her artistic skills. After graduating, she served in the Israeli Defense Forces as a member of the Air Force Ensemble before pursuing a career in theater. Her stage credits include performances in productions such as "The Housekeeper" and "Ghetto," which address themes related to Jewish history and World War II.

Bukstein began her screen career at age 12, portraying Anna in the film "Eretz Hadasha" ("A New Country"), a story about a young Holocaust survivor adjusting to life in Israel. Her performance earned her a nomination for the Ophir Award for Best Actress, making her the youngest nominee in that category. She continued to build a diverse body of work in Israeli film and television, including a leading role in Avi Nesher's film "The Secrets" as Neomi Hess. Bukstein received the Woman of the Year in Cinema award at the Israeli People of the Year Ceremony for her work in "The Secrets." She also starred in the espionage thriller series "False Flag" ("Kfulim"), which premiered at the Berlinale Special Series section and won the Grand Prize at Series Mania before being adapted for U.S. audiences.

Bukstein gained international recognition for her portrayal of Kinvara in the sixth season of HBO's "Game of Thrones." She further expanded her global profile with a role in the National Geographic anthology series "Genius," playing Margarita Konenkova. Bukstein received the Best Actress Jury Prize at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival for her role as Naomi in the drama "A Quiet Heart."

In addition to her acting career, Bukstein is a classically trained pianist and accomplished musician. She performed piano pieces for the musical telenovela series "HaShir Shelanu" and released an album of original songs titled "Sunday," which includes tracks such as "One Day," "No One," and "Seven Minutes." Bukstein also performs classic Israeli songs at state and memorial ceremonies, has presented the official Israel Independence Day broadcast, and collaborates with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra.
