Angus Hervey

Dr. Angus Hervey is an Australian political economist, journalist, and a pioneer in solutions journalism, focusing on reframing global perspectives on progress. A three-time TED speaker, Hervey is the founder of Fix The News, a platform dedicated to solutions journalism and reporting on global advancements. He has documented stories related to rising living standards, scientific and technological innovation, global health, human rights, and conservation. Hervey has contributed to international publications including The Times, Quartz, the Independent, and Positive News, writing on topics such as politics, economics, and science.

Hervey graduated from the University of Cape Town and holds an MSc in International Political Economy and a PhD in Environmental Studies from the London School of Economics, where he was the Ralph Miliband Scholar.
