Angel Giuffria

Angel Giuffria is an actress, public speaker, and disability representation advocate recognized for her contributions to Hollywood and the broader entertainment industry. Born a congenital amputee missing a large portion of her left arm, Giuffria received her first prosthetic arm as an infant, becoming the youngest person to wear a myoelectric prosthesis, a milestone highlighted by Ripley's Believe It or Not. She holds a master's degree in psychology, with research focusing on the stigma faced by amputees and individuals with limb differences.

Giuffria began her film career in 2007 and has participated in more than 20 productions across film and television. Her first on-screen role was in "Green Lantern" with Ryan Reynolds, where she portrayed a two-handed character using a cosmetic prosthesis. Director Martin Campbell's decision to feature her in the film marked a pivotal moment, demonstrating that she could pursue roles unrelated to her disability. Giuffria's credits include appearances in "The Accountant" with Ben Affleck, NBC's Chicago Med, CBS' FBI: Most Wanted, "Twisted Metal," "Snowpiercer," "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1," "Goliath," "The Tomorrow War," "9-1-1: Lone Star," and "Fallout."

Giuffria has spoken about her decision to embrace her high-tech prosthetic arm publicly, noting that her career advanced when she stopped concealing it during auditions. She has also worked as a model for Tommy Hilfiger Adaptive and appeared in a nationally broadcast Super Bowl advertisement.

In addition to her acting and modeling work, Giuffria is active as a patient advocate and spokesperson, promoting inclusion and authentic disability representation in the entertainment industry. She has participated in panels such as "Super-Abled: Representation in Comics" at San Diego Comic-Con and has been a featured speaker at SXSW, where she discussed human augmentation and bionic technology.
