Andy Mineo

Andy Mineo is a New York City-based Christian hip-hop artist, producer, music executive, and video director known for his genre-blending sound and personal lyricism. His music incorporates introspective lyrics, electronic influences, and explores themes of faith, personal growth, and social issues, earning recognition within Christian hip-hop and the broader rap community. In addition to his solo projects, Mineo is a member of the hip-hop collective 116 Clique.

Mineo's early life in Syracuse and subsequent spiritual transformation influenced his path in music. He began producing in high school and joined the hip-hop group Fat Camp, which was signed to Marshall Street Records at Syracuse University. After relocating to New York City, Mineo re-dedicated his life to Christianity and shifted his career focus. While attending City College of New York, he met Grammy Award-winning producer Alex Medina, who introduced him to Christian hip-hop artists and encouraged him to integrate his faith with his music. Mineo collaborated with Medina on the track "Background," featured on Lecrae's album "Rehab," marking his introduction to Reach Records.

After signing with Reach Records, Mineo released the mixtape "Formerly Known" and adopted his legal name as his stage name. His debut studio album, "Heroes for Sale," reached No. 11 on the Billboard 200 and topped both the Top Christian Albums and Top Gospel Albums charts. The EP "Never Land" followed, debuting at No. 13 on the Billboard 200. His second album, "Uncomfortable," achieved No. 10 on the Billboard 200, No. 1 on Top Christian Albums, and No. 3 on Rap Albums. Mineo headlined the Uncomfortable Tour, performing in venues across the United States and Europe.

Mineo has addressed mental health and personal challenges in his work, notably on the EP "I: The Arrow." His single "You Can't Stop Me" won an ESPN Whammy Award for MLB's Top Walk-Up Song and achieved RIAA gold certification. The collaboration with Lecrae on "Coming In Hot" became a viral success, earning RIAA Digital Gold and Platinum certifications and widespread use in popular culture. Mineo also contributed to Lecrae's album "Gravity," which won the Grammy Award for Best Gospel Album.

In addition to recording, Mineo scripts, produces, and directs many of his own music videos and created the YouTube web series "Saturday Morning Car-Tunez." His collaboration with Wordsplayed as Magic & Bird resulted in a self-titled mixtape. Mineo has released multiple full-length albums, including "Never Land II" and "The And." After departing Reach Records, he launched his own creative initiative, Miner League, continuing to influence Christian hip-hop and independent rap while maintaining a focus on faith and authenticity.
