Andy Katz

Andy Katz is a reporter, analyst and host for NCAA[.]com and hosts the "March Madness 365" podcast. He is also a lead analyst for Big Ten Network and a contributor to Turner Sports and NBATV's NBA Draft coverage. Katz serves as a national correspondent for all NCAA digital platforms and March Madness men's basketball, and has hosted the NCAA Social Series, a digital show focusing on issues facing student-athletes and administrators across all three divisions.

Prior to these roles, Katz spent nearly two decades as a college basketball analyst at ESPN, where he served as the original national college basketball reporter and backup host for the program Outside the Lines. He also contributed to ESPN The Magazine and ESPN Radio.

Before joining ESPN[.]com, Katz was the national basketball writer for the Fresno Bee, the Albuquerque Journal and the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. He began his journalism career while attending the University of Wisconsin, working for The Daily Cardinal and Wisconsin State Journal, and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and political science.

With more than three decades of experience as a journalist across newspapers, major television networks and digital platforms, Katz is recognized for his expertise in college basketball coverage and sports media analysis.
