Andrew Wilson

Andrew Wilson is the chairman and chief executive officer of Electronic Arts, a leading global video game company. As chairman and CEO, Wilson has overseen a transformation of Electronic Arts from a packaged goods publisher to a digital-first entertainment platform, reaching hundreds of millions of players worldwide. He was the first game developer to lead the company and, at the time of his appointment, was also the youngest to assume the role since Trip Hawkins founded Electronic Arts.

Wilson's career in the video game industry began at Electronic Arts' development studio on Australia's Gold Coast, where he contributed to sports video games such as V8 Supercar, rugby, cricket, and surfing titles. He gained experience in the company's Asian and European markets before joining EA Sports and later serving as executive producer on the "FIFA" franchise. Wilson was appointed executive vice president of EA Sports and also took on responsibilities for the Origin platform. His progression through various roles provided him with a comprehensive understanding of Electronic Arts' global operations.

As CEO, Wilson has focused the company on three core strategic pillars: prioritizing players, advancing digital transformation, and fostering a unified team culture. Under his leadership, Electronic Arts accelerated its shift to live service models, integrating persistent online features, seasonal updates, and community-driven content into major franchises. Titles such as "FIFA" (now "EA Sports FC"), "Madden NFL," "Apex Legends," "The Sims," and "Battlefield" have achieved high levels of player engagement, with "Apex Legends" recognized as a successful free-to-play game. "Battlefield 6" achieved significant commercial success and strong sales in the United States.

Wilson's professional recognition includes a BAFTA Award for "FIFA 10," inclusion in Fortune's Top People in Business, Fast Company's Most Creative People, and AdWeek's 100 Most Influential Leaders in Marketing, Media and Tech. He serves on the Intel Board of Directors and is chairman of the board for World Surf League.
