Andrew Nusca Biography
Andrew Nusca is an author, editor, host, journalist, and media executive. In 2024, he rejoined Fortune as editorial director of Brainstorm Tech, the business icon’s innovation-obsessed community and event series that culminates in an annual, invite-only summit in Deer Valley, Utah.
Nusca held a number of roles in his previous stint at Fortune. From 2016 to 2021, he was the publication’s digital editor, leading its global digital editorial team and directing coverage across its website, newsletter portfolio, and social media channels; he was senior editor from 2013 to 2016, overseeing technology coverage in print and online; and he became co-chair of Brainstorm Tech in 2015.
From 2021 to 2022, Nusca served as the very first executive editor of Morning Brew, the Insider Inc-owned media startup, where he led and expanded its portfolio of consumer brands, including its eponymous flagship title. From 2023 to 2024, he served as senior director and editor-in-chief at Activision Blizzard, directing editorial efforts for the entertainment giant’s nearly 400 million gamers.
Nusca's work has appeared in GQ, Men’s Vogue, Money, New York, New York Daily News, Popular Mechanics, Time, and others. He has also appeared on camera for ABC, Bloomberg TV, CBS, CNBC, Fox News, and more. He has served as a judge for the American Society of Magazine Editors’ National Magazine Awards (“Ellies”) and the Deadline Club Awards, the annual competition of the New York City chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists. He has been a guest lecturer at the University of Southern California, Villanova University, and Arcadia University and taught a graduate seminar on the disruption of the publishing industry by technology companies at New York University. He has presented on the future of journalism at the Klein News Innovation Camp hosted by Temple University in Philadelphia.
Nusca is a graduate of New York University (where he was news editor of the school’s daily Washington Square News) and the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
