Andrea Pino

Andrea Pino, a dedicated women's rights and civil rights activist, has made a significant impact on the landscape of gender-based violence education, prevention, and activism. Pino co-authored the book "We Believe You: Survivors of Campus Sexual Assault Speak Out" and was centrally featured in the 2015 documentary film "The Hunting Ground". Her efforts in raising awareness and advocating for victims of sexual assault extended to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she was one of the major writers and complainants in the 2013 Title IX and Clery Act complaints.

Pino's advocacy work led her to co-found End Rape on Campus (EROC) in 2013, an organization dedicated to ending sexual violence on campuses. As the Director of Policy and Support, she helped shape the organization's approach and offered support to sexual assault victims at universities across the United States. Pino's influence has also reached the national level, advising the White House Task Force To Protect Students from Sexual Assault and co-writing the Campus Accountability and Safety Act with Senator Kirsten Gillibrand.

Throughout her career, Pino has been featured in several prominent publications and media outlets, including The New York Times, Vogue, and Cosmopolitan Magazine, and has made appearances on PBS Newshour, RealTime with Bill Maher, and AlJazeera. Her activism and influence have been recognized by several organizations, including Planned Parenthood, which awarded her the “Care. No Matter What.” Award in 2015, and The Chronicle of Higher Education, which included her in their 2013 Influence List. Currently, Pino serves on the Board of Directors for Outwords and works as an Impact Producer for the film "Ahead of the Curve".
