Andre Reed

Andre Reed is recognized as one of the top wide receivers in NFL history, earning induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The Buffalo Bills selected Reed in the fourth round of the NFL Draft. He is among a select group of Division II college football players enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, having advanced from Kutztown University, where he transitioned to wide receiver, set nine school records, and completed his college career with 142 receptions for 2,020 yards and 14 touchdowns.

Reed became known for his durability and skill in gaining yards after the catch, earning the nickname YAC. He started in five AFC Championship Games and four consecutive Super Bowls. Reed and Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly developed a prolific partnership, resulting in 663 career completions, which stood as an NFL record at the time. A seven-time Pro Bowler, Reed holds the franchise record for 36 100-yard receiving games with the Bills.

One of Reed's most memorable performances occurred in the Bills' playoff victory over the Houston Oilers, a game known as "The Comeback." Reed caught three touchdowns in the second half, contributing to Buffalo's rally from a 32-point deficit, the largest comeback in NFL history. He finished the game with eight receptions for 136 yards and three touchdowns. In four Super Bowls, Reed recorded 27 receptions, ranking third in career Super Bowl receptions, and totaled 323 Super Bowl receiving yards, sixth-most in Super Bowl history. With the exception of one injury-affected season, Reed caught at least 50 passes in every season from 1986 to 1999.

Reed was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame and honored by Kutztown University, which renamed its University Field to Andre Reed Stadium. He remains the Bills' all-time leader in receptions, receiving yards, touchdown receptions, and games played. After his playing career, Reed contributed football commentary on ESPN2's "First Take" and has appeared as a football analyst on NFL on Fox.

Off the field, Reed has focused on community engagement and youth development. He established the Andre Reed Foundation to support underprivileged children in reaching their potential and becoming responsible community members. Reed serves as a Boys & Girls Club of America Ambassador and leads the "Read with Reed 83 Challenge," a literacy initiative for underprivileged youth. He also serves as commissioner of the Entertainment Football Association, an arena football league with teams along the Eastern Seaboard.
