Andoni Zubizarreta

Andoni Zubizarreta is an iconic figure in Spanish football, known for his outstanding career as a goalkeeper and his role as a sporting director for elite clubs such as FC Barcelona and Olympique de Marseille. Having played 126 matches for the Spanish national team, Zubizarreta is one of the most influential players in the history of Spanish football. Beyond his accomplishments on the field, he has developed a successful career in sports management and business, co-founding the leadership consulting firm Makeateam, where he applies his sports expertise to corporate environments.

Zubizarreta began his career with Deportivo Alavés and soon rose to prominence, earning a transfer to Athletic Club, where he won two Spanish league titles. His most notable success came at FC Barcelona, where he was part of Johan Cruyff’s legendary team, winning multiple titles, including four La Liga championships and one Champions League. He later played for Valencia CF before retiring as a player.
