Amy Gutierrez

Amy Gutierrez, known professionally as Amy G, is an American sports journalist, broadcaster, and writer recognized for her contributions to Bay Area sports media. Gutierrez graduated from the University of California, Davis with degrees in rhetoric and communications. Early in her career, she worked as a television producer for Fox Sports in Los Angeles after a period in Washington, D.C. She later returned to the San Francisco Bay Area, where she hosted a basketball television program and covered teams including the Oakland A's, San Jose Sharks, Oakland Raiders, San Francisco 49ers, and PAC-12 and WCC football and basketball.

Gutierrez is an eight-time Emmy Award-winning producer, reporter, and host. She covered the San Francisco Giants as an in-game reporter and served as a national correspondent for MLB Network. Gutierrez reported on the Giants' three World Series runs and became a regular presence on telecasts alongside broadcasters Duane Kuiper and Mike Krukow. She is known for reporting on the emotional, nontechnical aspects of baseball to engage a broad audience. Gutierrez hosted "G-Mag," a San Francisco Giants-themed magazine show on NBC Sports Bay Area, and contributed to Giants Pre and Post Game Live.

Following her tenure as a sideline reporter, the Giants hired Gutierrez as a multimedia producer/reporter and team ambassador at community events. In this role, she contributed to the team's digital platforms, producing behind-the-scenes and player content. Gutierrez also joined the Sacramento River Cats broadcast team, providing interviews, on-field content, and analysis alongside Zack Bayrouty and Steve Sax. She is an experienced host and emcee for organizations and causes throughout the Bay Area.

In addition to her broadcasting career, Gutierrez is a published author and educator. She wrote the children's books "Smarty Marty's Got Game" and "Smarty Marty Takes The Field." Gutierrez serves as a lecturer in the Communications Department at Sonoma State University and produces shows and vignettes for UCSF Health. She also owns a social media marketing company.

Gutierrez became the co-general manager of the RedPocket Mobiles, a travel team in the Pioneer Baseball League. In this executive role, she oversees contracts, bus schedules, and travel logistics for the all-travel team. Gutierrez's transition from sideline reporter to front office executive reflects her extensive baseball knowledge and commitment to the sport.
