Amin Toufani

Amin Toufani is a Silicon Valley-based innovator and entrepreneur whose work focuses on the intersection of exponential technology, economics, and human adaptability. As the founder and CEO of T Labs, a startup factory specializing in moonshot innovations, Toufani leads efforts to harness technologies such as artificial intelligence and biotechnology to address global challenges and support businesses and leaders in adapting to technological change. He holds degrees in artificial intelligence from the University of British Columbia, an MBA from Stanford, and a Master of Public Administration in economic policy from Harvard, having pursued his graduate studies at Harvard and Stanford concurrently.

Toufani and his research team at Adaptability.org developed the Adaptability Quotient (AQ), a scientific measurement of adaptability in individuals and teams. AQ is defined as the ability to realize optimal outcomes in response to change. The concept has been shared through Toufani's lectures at Singularity University and Adaptability University, reaching leaders worldwide and providing insights into thriving amid rapid technological advancement.

Toufani serves as chairperson for finance and economics at Singularity University, contributing to discussions about the future of technology and its relationship to economics. He has lectured in 35 countries and advised 10 governments on his economic framework, Exonomics (Exponential Economics & Business Models), which provides predictive models for the impact of accelerating technologies on individuals, businesses, and nations. Toufani leads projects at T Labs in areas including artificial intelligence, blockchain, human longevity, quantitative finance, cognitive performance, and Zeromics (stage zero cancer diagnostics). His team has studied more than 250 businesses that have experienced exponential growth, identifying patterns shared across these organizations.
