American Authors

Since the release of the debut album, "Oh, What a Life," New York-based pop-rock group American Authors has achieved significant milestones in the music industry. The band's music has reached high positions on music charts, with singles earning multi-platinum certifications. American Authors has performed at awards shows, played at renowned venues worldwide, and toured with artists including Andy Grammer, OAR, OneRepublic, The Revivalists, and The Fray. The single "Best Day of My Life" has been featured in more than 600 movie trailers, TV shows, commercials, and served as a theme song for the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Formed at Berklee College of Music in Boston, American Authors consists of Zac Barnett (vocals/guitar), Dave Rublin (bass), and Matt Sanchez (drums). The members left college and relocated to Brooklyn to further develop their songwriting and sound.

After moving to Brooklyn, American Authors connected with producer Shep Goodman and signed with his production company, Dirty Canvas. The band wrote and recorded "Believer," which gained airplay on Sirius XM's Alt Nation radio. The following single, "Best Day of My Life," was featured in a commercial campaign for Lowes, leading to a record deal with Island Records.

American Authors has generated more than 1 billion global streams, with "Best Day of My Life" earning triple-platinum certification from the RIAA and reaching No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100. The debut album, Oh, What a Life, achieved gold status, and the follow-up, "What We Live For," produced the Top 20 hit "Go Big or Go Home." The band has sold out shows internationally and performed at major festivals including Lollapalooza, Firefly Music Festival, BottleRock Napa Valley, Reading Festival, and Leeds Festival.

American Authors has collaborated with artists such as Santana and Rob Thomas ("Move"), Mark McGrath of Sugar Ray ("Nice & Easy"), CVBZ ("This Time is Right"), Chad Tepper ("Timeless"), and Fedde le Grand ("One Way Up"). The group has also released cover versions of songs by Olivia Rodrigo ("good 4 u") and Post Malone ("Circles"), and released the single "Blind For Love."

Following the third album, "Seasons," the band recorded the "Counting Down EP," a project that explores themes of overcoming self-doubt and hope. American Authors continues to release new music and perform at festivals, maintaining a presence as dynamic live performers and collaborators in the pop-rock music scene.
