Amar'e Stoudemire

Amar'e Stoudemire is recognized as a power forward in the NBA, a six-time All-Star known for his athleticism, power, and scoring ability. Selected by the Phoenix Suns with the ninth overall pick of the NBA Draft, Stoudemire won the NBA Rookie of the Year Award, establishing himself as a significant presence in professional basketball. He made six appearances in the NBA All-Star Game and was named to the All-NBA Team five times, including one first-team selection. Over 14 seasons in the NBA, Stoudemire averaged 18.9 points and 7.8 rebounds per game.

Stoudemire's tenure with the Phoenix Suns, particularly alongside point guard Steve Nash, was marked by his role in the team's high-powered "7 Seconds or Less" offense. He served as a dominant frontcourt presence and was a focal point of the Suns' offense, ranking seventh in points and third in rebounds in franchise history. After undergoing microfracture surgery for knee cartilage damage, Stoudemire returned to earn All-NBA First Team honors and continued to perform at a high level. He also played for the New York Knicks, Dallas Mavericks, and Miami Heat. Stoudemire won a bronze medal with the United States national team at the Olympic Games.

Following his NBA career, Stoudemire played professionally in Israel, where he won two Israeli Basketball Premier League championships and was named the league's Finals MVP. He holds a significant ownership share in Hapoel Jerusalem, the team with which he won a championship. Stoudemire also contributed to player development as an assistant coach with the Brooklyn Nets. He has been inducted into the Phoenix Suns Ring of Honor and the International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame.

Outside of basketball, Stoudemire has pursued entrepreneurship, authorship, and philanthropy. His ventures include a record label, a clothing line, acting, and a series of children's books for Scholastic Press. He launched a collection of wines produced in Israel by Tulip Winery, reflecting his connection to heritage and community. Stoudemire founded the Each One, Teach One Foundation and received the NBA's Community Assist Award for efforts to provide safe drinking water in Sierra Leone. His personal journey includes his conversion to Judaism and overcoming personal adversity to achieve success in professional basketball, business, and community engagement.
