Aliyah Boston

Aliyah Boston is a professional basketball power forward and center for the Indiana Fever of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Boston played high school basketball at Worcester Academy, where she won the Gatorade Player of the Year award three times. Her collegiate career at the University of South Carolina included leading the team to an NCAA championship and earning the NCAA Tournament Most Outstanding Player honor. Boston's college achievements include the AP Player of the Year, Honda Sports Award, Honda-Broderick Cup, John R. Wooden Award, Naismith College Player of the Year, and USBWA National Player of the Year. She also received the Honda Cup as Collegiate Woman Athlete of the Year, becoming the first athlete from the University of South Carolina to earn this distinction.

Boston won the Lisa Leslie Award as the top center in NCAA women's basketball for four consecutive years. She was the first sophomore named Academic All-American of the Year by the College Sports Information Directors of America in Division I women's basketball. Boston concluded her four-year collegiate career with a record of 129 wins and nine losses. Her professional career began as the first overall pick in the WNBA Draft, where she was unanimously named WNBA Rookie of the Year. Boston became the second player in Fever franchise history to receive this honor, following Tamika Catchings.

As a key player for Indiana, Boston averaged 15.0 points, 8.2 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 1.2 steals across 44 games, earning All-WNBA Second Team and All-Defensive Second Team honors. Indiana extended her contract with a four-year, $6.3 million deal, the highest total salary in WNBA history. In addition to her WNBA career, Boston has represented the United States in international competitions, winning gold medals at events such as the FIBA AmeriCup and FIBA U19 Women's World Cup. She is also part of the investor group for Boston Legacy FC, reflecting her involvement in women's professional sports ownership.

Off the court, Boston is an advocate for youth empowerment and gender equity in sports. The Aliyah Boston Foundation supports youth development and hosted the Pathway to Purpose Youth Finance Summit to teach financial skills to students. Boston has worked with the YMCA of Greater Indianapolis through The Court is Hers initiative, which aims to increase opportunities for girls in basketball. She emphasizes the importance of mentorship in sports and supports her teammates both on and off the court.
