Alingon Mitra Biography
Alingon Mitra is a stand-up comedian and comedy writer known for his sharp observational humor, clever storytelling, and laid-back stage presence. He first gained national attention on NBC’s Last Comic Standing, where he won the show’s “Comic Comeback” contest after leading the public vote for five consecutive weeks. His relatable style and quick wit have made him a favorite with audiences across the country.
Since his breakout, Mitra has appeared on major late-night programs including The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Conan, and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. In addition to performing stand-up, he has built a successful career behind the scenes as a comedy writer, contributing to The Daily Show with Trevor Noah and Adam Ruins Everything.
A graduate of Harvard University and former writer for The Harvard Lampoon, Mitra has been recognized as a “New Face of Comedy” at the prestigious Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal.
