Alice Deng

Alice Deng is a serial entrepreneur and product leader specializing in business-to-business (B2B) payments and embedded financing solutions. Deng is the co-founder and chief product officer of Slope, a platform that provides integrated financing options for businesses. As a two-time Y Combinator founder, Deng is known for identifying underserved markets and developing technology-driven solutions to address their needs.

Before launching Slope, Deng gained experience as a product manager at Dropbox, where she contributed to the Paper team and participated in a company-wide hackathon. She later founded Glisten AI, an artificial intelligence product designed to tag and organize e-commerce product data, which participated in Y Combinator. Glisten AI supported clients such as DoorDash by improving the accuracy of consumer search results through enhanced food data tagging.

Deng's commitment to solving large-scale problems led to the founding of Slope. Inspired by challenges faced in the bulk import business sector, Slope manages lending, underwriting, debt collection, and payments for large orders, supporting businesses that require financing for significant upfront inventory costs. Slope has raised more than $252 million in equity and debt, with backing from investors including Sam Altman, J.P. Morgan, Y Combinator, Union Square Ventures, Tiger Global Management, and the founders of Dropbox, DoorDash, and Plaid.

Deng has been recognized in the startup and fintech communities, including being named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list. While at University of California, Berkeley, she led Blueprint, a technology-for-impact organization. She has spoken at industry events such as the Mayer Brown Women in Fintech event and the Forbes Under 30 Summit, sharing insights on entrepreneurship, product strategy, and the evolution of fintech. She has also appeared on several podcasts, discussing topics such as the growth of fintech startups and the future of B2B buy now, pay later models.
