Alexander Ludwig Biography
Alexander Ludwig is a Canadian actor, singer, and model best known for his breakout role as Cato in "The Hunger Games" and for portraying Bjorn Ironside in the hit historical drama "Vikings." His performance in "The Hunger Games" earned him both an MTV Movie Award for Best Fight alongside Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson, as well as a Teen Choice Award for Choice Movie Villain.
Ludwig began acting at age nine after appearing in a Harry Potter toy commercial and went on to build an impressive résumé with roles in films including "Race to Witch Mountain," "Grown Ups 2," and "Lone Survivor." On television, he appeared in projects such as "The Seeker" before gaining international recognition through "Vikings.".
More recently, Ludwig starred in Guy Ritchie's "The Covenant" alongside Jake Gyllenhaal, the MGM+ sci-fi drama "Earth Abides," and the wrestling drama "Heels" opposite Stephen Amell. He also appeared in "Bad Boys: Ride or Die" with Will Smith and Martin Lawrence. In addition to acting, Ludwig is an accomplished country artist whose album Highway 99 features the popular single "Let Me Be Your Whiskey." Up next, he is set to star alongside Al Pacino in the upcoming biopic "Killing Castro."
