Alexa Firmenich

Alexa Firmenich is a visionary investor, consultant, and facilitator dedicated to advancing climate resilience, biodiversity, and regenerative approaches to investing and systems change. She is the Founder and Director of Naia Trust, an animist investment vehicle committed to directing capital on behalf of nature and fostering deep relational connections between humans and the living world. Naia Trust supports early‑stage nature‑based solutions, scientific research, innovative economic models, and cultural expressions that align financial flows with the needs of ecosystems and living systems.

Prior to and alongside her leadership at Naia Trust, Firmenich has worked as co‑director of SEED at the Crowther Lab at ETH Zurich, where she helped develop one of the world’s most holistic measures of biodiversity with the goal of embedding nature’s value into global economic decision‑making. She also serves as a senior advisor at the Crowther Lab and applies her expertise in ecological pedagogy and group facilitation to leadership development and immersive learning.

In addition to her investment and advisory work, Firmenich is an author, podcast host of Lifeworlds, a founding board member of the Terra Habitus environmental fund in Mexico, and an experienced wilderness guide—roles that reflect her deep commitment to bridging cultural narratives, ecological awareness, and practical action toward a more regenerative future.
