Alex Stapleton

Alex Stapleton, an accomplished director, showrunner, and executive producer, has made significant contributions to documentary feature films and unscripted television. Stapleton's directorial debut, "Corman's World: Exploits of a Hollywood Rebel," was showcased at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival in 2011. Over the years, she has helmed a number of noteworthy projects, from the Netflix documentary "Hello, Privilege. It's Me, Chelsea" in 2019, to the 2023 Reggie Jackson documentary "Reggie."

Stapleton's impact extends beyond directing. In 2021, she founded the production company House of NonFiction, which secured an overall deal with Industrial Media. The same year, she served as an executive producer and showrunner for the FX documentary television miniseries "Pride." She continued to expand her repertoire in the following years, directing an episode of "God Save Texas" for HBO and executive producing the two-part documentary series "How Music Got Free" for Paramount+ in 2024. In 2025, she directed and executive produced "Sean Combs: The Reckoning."

In recognition of her work, Stapleton was honored with an Emmy award in 2017 for "SoCal Connected."
