Alex Rose Biography
Alex Rose is a professional track and field athlete, three-time Olympian, and bronze medalist at the 2025 Tokyo World Championships. His medal marks the first and only medal for Samoa or the entire Pacific Island Nations at a World Championship. Rose has the furthest recorded discus throw from an American citizen, even though he chose to compete for his father’s homeland of Samoa.
Throughout his athletic career, Rose has worked full-time as a Technical Sales Engineer, on top of being a husband and father. He is the only athlete in his field to win a bronze medal, become an Olympic finalist, and compete in the prestigious “Diamond League” while essentially competing in the discus as a hobby. His unique training situation and diverse skillset have separated him as a unique athlete and business professional, and he has used his wealth of knowledge to give motivational speeches to universities, high schools, and corporations throughout the nation including McDonald's, Grand Valley State University, East Grand Rapids High-School and others.
