Alex & Brett Harris

Alex Harris and Brett Harris are twin brothers and co-founders of The Rebelution, a Christian youth movement focused on encouraging young people to exceed societal expectations. They closed their website for new submissions in June of 2024.

Alex Harris graduated magna cum laude from Harvard Law School, received the Sears Prize, served as Supreme Court Chair of the Harvard Law Review, and clerked for Justice Anthony M. Kennedy of the U.S. Supreme Court and the Honorable Neil M. Gorsuch of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. He was also recognized by Forbes 30 Under 30 for law and policy.

Brett Harris co-founded the Young Writers Workshop with Jaquelle Crowe, an online program supporting aspiring Christian writers. The Harris brothers' work continues to challenge young people to embrace responsibility and leadership, resonating with audiences interested in Christian youth development, faith-based education, and personal growth.

Alex Harris and Brett Harris launched TheRebelution.com at age 16, initially as a blog, which evolved into a leading Christian teen website, attracting millions of unique visitors and tens of millions of page views. The movement's central philosophy—that teenagers are capable of more than commonly believed—was influenced by their early experience interning for State Supreme Court Justice Tom Parker, where they became the youngest interns on record at the Alabama Supreme Court.

At 18, the Harris brothers co-authored their first book, "Do Hard Things: A Teenage Rebellion Against Low Expectations." The book challenges the perception of adolescence as a period free from responsibility, integrating biblical perspectives, historical context, and contemporary examples to redefine the teen years as a foundation for future leadership. "Do Hard Things" achieved significant commercial success, reaching high rankings on Amazon and selling hundreds of thousands of copies in multiple languages. Their follow-up book, "Start Here," further expanded their reach, with the two books together being translated into 15 languages and selling over half a million copies in the United States.

The Harris brothers have become recognized voices in youth culture, Christian leadership, and faith-based education, speaking internationally and appearing on ABC, CNN, MSNBC, and NPR, as well as in publications such as Wall Street Journal, Wired Magazine, and The New York Times. The Rebelution movement has grown to include a website and an international speaking tour, continuing to influence Christian youth and leadership development.
