Prince Akinwale Roy Ojomo is a diaspora researcher, social entrepreneur, and development advocate focused on mobilizing the African diaspora for economic and social transformation across the continent. As founder and CEO of the Diaspora Innovation Institute, a social enterprise dedicated to engaging Africans in the diaspora, fostering partnerships among government, private sector, and civil society, and developing initiatives in Africa such as SME launch and support, Ojomo has established a platform for diaspora-driven development.
Ojomo holds an MBA and MS from universities in the United States and is an alumnus of Harvard Kennedy School of Government. His professional experience spans banking, media, and international development. Before founding the Institute, he served as producer of the "Global Culture" TV show in Washington, D.C., managing editor of Ebo Magazine, and senior partner at Roy Synergy Group, USA. He has also worked with Citibank, Key Bank, and Chams, contributing to process improvement, developmental projects, and diversity awareness in the workplace. Ojomo has also served as a consultant at the Centre for Management Development, supporting innovation, entrepreneurship, and public-private sector partnerships.
Through the Diaspora Innovation Institute, in partnership with Lagos Business School, Ojomo has led initiatives to mobilize African diaspora members to support engagement in political, economic, and social spheres in their home countries. His projects include DIASPORA 100, the African Diaspora Annual Conference, SME HUB, and a Start Up Lab in Nigeria. He also consults for African universities on business incubator programs and innovation, with a focus on technology, agriculture, and the creative industry.
