Ajaye (“A.J.”) is a 2025 Kerrville Folk Festival New Folk Finalist, Songwriter Serenade Finalist, Cayamo Soundcheck Top 5 artist, and former BC Country Music Female Artist of the Year. A Canadian singer-songwriter based in Nashville, she has completed four European tours and has brought her songs to stages including The Bluebird Cafe, 3rd & Lindsley, and The Listening Room.
Her music has been featured in Rolling Stone Australia, American Songwriter, and AmericanaUK, with television appearances on "Today in Nashville" and "CTV Morning Live." Her latest acoustic record, Silverline, reflects the heart-centered songwriting she is known for—rooted in folk and country storytelling and shaped by warmth, clarity, and emotional honesty.
Born in a small town in British Columbia, AJAYE writes from the experience of carving her own path beyond expectation. Her songs explore self-discovery, resilience, and personal agency, fitting raw truth into poetic, three-minute stories that feel like companions in quiet moments.
